Could be the filler line wasn't properly grounded. Some of those
conveyors can generate quite a bit of a charge with all that plastic
running down them and bumping into the sides. But still the contents
would need to pick up this charge. And from what you explain its a
fairly strong static charge. I can understand the correct formulation
being quite stable, but have been in enough bottling plants to see
plenty of incorrect mixing going on. That the charged bottles are all
coming from the same store, points to something in that batch. Be it
in the bottling process or the mixing of the formulation. It would be
interesting to get a reading on the amount of charge stored in the
bottle. Or to save a bottle that has discharged set aside, to see if
it again builds up a charge. Do you want to volunteer your happy ass
to a few more tests Bjorn?
