We refer to them as Northworst around here, but then most people know
them by the name you mentioned. I will say I've never as bad as I did
going to San Fran. I've been questioned a couple of times by NW but
they always excepted them. They used to have a brochure explaining how
to pack your fish for check on. They may still have it but were to
clueless to look for it. They do have the tags with the live animal
symbols right at check in. They're supposed to circle the matching
animal and one of those is fish. On the way back I had no problems and
even though I said it was ok to but the fish boxes through normal
handling they insisted on hand carrying them to the plane. They also
hand carried them off the plane on the other end when they saw the
stickers. All I can say is the baggage handlers know what to do, but
the check in folks were out to lunch on my way out.
