I agree w/ Harro on this point. It's hard enough to get the fish properly
listed even by species, let alone get them to get the collection location
tacked-on and right. How is it they say it? "Baby steps?" Good fish
dealers do try to get the names right, even when the wholsaler screws it
up. But do you know how many people complain about the scientific names
the Afreakin' Chicklets have? More than I'd like to say, and these fish
don't even have common names to use in their stead. If the dealers can,
they use the easiest names for their customers. Good ones also make the
sci-names available. Codes would never fly at this point.
But for us hobbyists... I think we should do all we can to keep our fish
as well-labled as possible. We are the experts w/ these fish, so to speak.
In this we really have no excuse. So, here at least, I do not quite agree.
Proper labling of our fish, regardless of what any buyers do afterward,
should be something we all srive for and apply religiously. Like I said,
there's no excuse for us not doing otherwise. At least, if we have the
info to begin with.... That's why I think we should get some kind of
standard into being. :-) And then, we should _use_ it!
