2 points, and 2 points alone - FOR ALL THE LIST TO NOTE!!!!

1. Harro does not run the list, Alan and I do, until further notice. He has
already said that he didn't intend to take over the running of the list.

2. Karsten's posting is typical of the well-intentioned yet petty complaints
we have consistently recieved over the last 12 months. It has taken it's
toll. Complaining about the way that complaints are handled only compounds
the kick in the teeth. You cannot begn to understand how sick I am of these
messages. 99% of the list traffic is a pleasure to read, I have got a lot
out of it.

The bottom line is, and this applies to all subscribers - if you can't
afford to download list traffic, it is a tragedy, desubscribe. If you don't
like what people say, or the way they say it, desubscribe. If you don't
like the way the list is run, either run it yourself, or desubscribe.

And a petty picky point of my own, which I beg the rest of the list to
indulge me and forgive... Karsten: the message you quoted of mine as being
an example of a SPAM message not marked as such had the word SPAM clearly in
the title.

Regards, Andrew Boyd
