Hi Al,

Are bushynose = bristlenose? If so, then I have 1 adult and 4 growing
juveniles in there already. They seem to inadvertently work at it, but
can't unanchor it from the side of the glass. Maybe if I get 99.9% of it
off the glass mechanically they can prevent it from coming back...

Roy,

It was suggested that I use a 1/4 dose of algacide first and then monitor
things.

The story behind the hair algae is that it came on a rock from a small
Wisconsin stream -- 3 years ago! Just goes to show that it pays to
sterilize beforehand.
