John Quinn's book is a gem. I don't think anyone could read this book and not become enthusiastic about "Fishwatching" as a special activity. I also suspect most of us are lurking fishwatchers, even if we have never seen a fish in its natural habitat. The
book also is illustrated with numerous examples of the author's superb line drawings of fish, habitats and examples of the points he is making in the text.
Any time you get a chance to come to Australia Julie let me know and I'll be happy to steer you to some great "fishwatching" sites - even a few without those " long- nosed swamp dogs" ( the alternative names for crocodiles over here are many and varied -
I rather like the term "mangrove geckoes"). BTW even in the USA there not only alligators but also crocodiles too.
