The question here is who pays for the research? Is it the governments
responsibility or the aquarium / aquaculture industries? My vote goes to
the second. While the aquarium industry objected strongly to the
legislation when it was introduced, they appear to have provided few
realistic alternatives to overcome such a "rediculous" piece of
legislation. If the legislation is so "rediculous" then they haven't
done a very good job of showing it or trying to. We should be lobbying the
industry, not the govt IMHO.
