Regarding why don't you ever see large females, that is because most
people kill them before they can get old. This is usally achieved by
having too few females in with the males. I'd suggest a sex ratio of 1
male to 2 females. Also, if you have a few males they will pay more
attention to each other than to the females. Usually the challenging
male will back off before getting killed, females don't get that choice
unfortunately for them.
Oh yer, I have never poured tomato sauce into a bag of chips at any time
in my life. Chip sandwiches are GOOD, I've converted a couple of yanks.
