Remember that any lesion on the shin which interrupts its integrity (whether
it comes from within or without) can facilitate the development of secondary
bacterial and fungal infections in that lesion - perhaps this explains the
apparent resolution of some reported TB infections.

I feel that you are going to find that you can only afford the luxury of one
treatment tank and the problem of disinfection of nets etc will become
major. As far as i know chlorine dips and alcohol are the only effective
methods. Perhaps someone else out there can offer concrete advice on dip
strengths and lengths. I don't think air drying is effective :-(

Steve Pyecroft is available at fishdoc at rainbow.net.au and has the
professional expertise to advise you on methods and costs of management.
Remember he makes his living from "fish doctoring" so there may be a fee
attached so I guess it would be prudent to check likely costs etc before
getting too far along the track.

Regards,
Bruce.
