Ship spawning mops just like fish (plastic bag, water, oxygen for long
trips, sealed tight with a rubber band, packed in an insulated box). Only
use enough water to just cover the mop. Use tall narrow bags to stop the
water and mop sloshing around too much.
I once received an overnight shipment of free floating eggs in a wine
bladder (like the sort used in le chateau-card), filled to the brim with no
air space. Seemed to work OK.
