I am comparable at 160 ppm hardness, 7.8 pH, KH 80-160. My P. connieae
adults are crapping out. I think too rich food, friend thinks bacterial
infection. Allmost looked like internal hemoraging and hernia of
intestine. I am looking into discontinueing the tank and disninfecting the
set up ASAP. Then replace with my fry.

The fry in seporate tank are doing great.

My P. signifer are in a 10 gallon tank 1 male and 3 females (f1 from Roy)
and they produce easily more than 60 eggs per day and about 97% hatch
(unless I do someting stupid). Cramped quarters is a problem, but I don't
have huge tanks (OK I do have a 36X18X18 that I use to grow out the
townsville fry). I have noticed that they still do better at higher
temperature (they are the only tank I heat here in Honolulu (Ambient air
temp is about 80+F in the day now).
