Perhaps we should be hatching our eggs in a similar manner as that used in
aquaculture. In aquaculture many eggs are hatched using 'Upwelling
incubators'. These are commercially available units and come in several
different models. However, any sort of container should do. Upwelling
incubators use the water flow to partially suspend the eggs similar to
hatching brine shrimp eggs. This may solve some of the problems that Mach
mentioned. I guess it would also provide extra oxygen and maybe prevent body
sliders? However, the aeration wouldn't want to be too high, just enough to
move the eggs about.
