Adrian,
when you set up your planted aquarium, let me know and we can
work out how to get some shrimps down to you. The
local Brisbane Atyids, Caradina
sp. probably do a good job on algae as well.
Has anyone down there in Qld tried the local varieties? You
should be able to find heaps in any of the local streams among the
Vallisneria beds. I bet you any amount you like that Dr
Bruce will know where to find some.

(some people never learn). When I worked at the Wildlife Park we used
them by the thousands to clean up new planted aquaria, then when the
fish were placed in the exhibit they were an excellent source of live
food.
Adrian does this mean you are going to set up a planted aquarium or
have you done so already.
