Possibly its what used to be called Pink Eared Rainbowfish which was known
as Melanotaenia splendida fluviatilis. Its since been split into two
different species Melanotaenia duboulayi Duboulays Rainbowfish &
M.fluviatilis Murray River Rainbowfish. Although I think the Murray
Rainbowfish is more commonly called the Pink Eared Rainbowfish.
I guess your in the US and Duboulays are more common than the Murray's over
there.
Has anyone else got a explanation to this Pink Rainbow??
