Galaxiids make awesome aquarium fishes but they are temperature limited.

Other than Galaxiella most could not be maintained in captivity easily.
Galaxias olidus would do fine in a pond and breed. They aren't kept very much
as aren't most Australian native fishes except rainbowfishes. Fishkeepers are
a strange breed, they often seem unwilling to take a chance on keeping the
unknown.
