I think Jacques LeFevrier (the French gentleman, reference 6) who succeeded
in killing himself of hypothermia deserves a very special commendation for
his resourcefulness. Despite the natural perversity of inanimate objects
(now renamed Murphy's Law in the popular press) his superior planning forced
those very forces inhibiting his objectives to satisfy his planned intent.
