Oh, the ladys name is Gail. Sorry about that.

Re larger fish: I have kept both Callop (yellow bellies for you easteners)
and Peelii in my pond outside. The Pond is about a thousand litres. It was
interesting to note that out of a pair of cod one grew at an incredible rate
(not as good as those measurements given in the blue book) whilst the other
hardly grew at all. I presumed this was due to one fish having dominance
over the food supply.

Recently someone was talking about cold temperatures. I have kept G Olidus
outside where the water temperature has dropped to around 2 degs celcius.
The Olidus survived this year after year. I believe they can go into dormancy.

For people outside SA, one of the local reservoirs here (not used for water
supply) has recently been poisened to eradicate Carp and Redfin. It has
since been stocked with Cod and Callop where youngsters can fish for them.
Adults are also allowed to fish but have to return their catch. The last
article I read said that the reservoir was also going to be used to raise
Mogurnda Adspersa to maintain thier stocks.

Before this place was poisoned I use to catch G Maculatus and Big head
Gudgeons. I believe there may have been some very large G Brevepinnis in
there as well.

Sorry to dribble

Andrew
