Richard
a pet shop here in SA currently has some D.G.s (Desert Goby) in
stock for around the 6 dollar mark. They were bred by a local native
enthusiast and are of decent quality but are still somewhat on the small
size. These particular ones are from Coward Springs. The fisheries Dept.
here tells us that all the D.G.s are from the same stock and there are no
colour variations.??

Bluespot Goby's should be available in any esturine system where it starts
to meet fresh water. They are around in the thousands down here. They are an
excellent aquarium species and easily maintained. This fish is often
recomended over here as a good starting fish with natives.

Sorry to ramble
