Damian,

Barclaya longifolia is self-fertile and will set seed even if the flower
doesn't reach the surface.
You can allow the seedlings to develop wherever they fall in the tank and
transplant them later or try to catch the seeds before dispersal and sow
them in a tray of fine substrate.
Good Luck.

Hello,

I was wondering if someone could help me with a minor problem.

I have a plant called Barclaya(spelling probably wrong) and it
currently has a flower developing. Could someone tell me if this
flower is reporoductive or ornamental. If reporoductive, then how do
l propogate it to produce more plants?

In the past l have dipped the flower into a cup of tank water to
fertilize it. Will this same process work?

Thank you
