As long as I can remember there have been aquariums in my parents house (and
there still are) so I was born and raised between fishes.
Had my first tank at the age of six, a coldwater native fish tank, but after a few
years I started to "breed" livebearers as most beginning aquarists do.
My first contact with Rainbowfish was about 15 years ago with the Glossolepis
Incisus.
Caught by the beauty of that fish there was no way back and after a short while,
well ........ most of you will now.
I joined up with ANGFA about 10 years ago, in those days almost the only
source of information about Rainbowfishes and our European association I.R.G.
a little later.
Nowadays I try to maintain the smaller species of Rainbowfishes s.a. the
blue-eyes (my favourites) and a few small Mel. partly out of lack of space but
mostly because of the fact that the few people who are breeding around here seem
to forget the smaller species and are all focussing on the trifasciata's and
splendida's.
