I purchased a pair of juvenile Glossolepis incisus (Red Raibowfish) from a
local fish store about 6 months ago and they are devoping an intense yellow
color band (vertical)on the base of their Caudal fin or more precisely the
Caudal peduncleas they mature. Is this a just a variety of the Glossolepis
incisus from a different area of New Guinea , a birth defect, or a hybrid?

Also why do Java Ferns seem to hve such an affect on these fishes?
