Cary - HTML, as the name suggests is a markup language - it isn't at all
hard. Doing it so that it looks good and conveys the information
efficiently is hard, it's more a style thing than anything else. Which is
why it's beyond some people ;)

Just do as I do - steal someone else's source code and cut'n'paste/sub in
your own words. Many pros do it that way ;)

Now as to people "doing their species check off on line" - this is a way of
gathering species info from people online? The easy way, but the least
elegant, is with a mail-in form - you can see a simple one at
http://www.pcug.org.au/~andrew/form.htm, or a more complex one (Alan's
Guestbook) at http://www.pcug.org.au/~aford/guestbk.htm - these generate a
line of answers which arrives attached to an email to a designated email
account.

The elegant way is to work a little CGI magic so that the answers are
auto-compiled for you and displayed updated on your page - that's beyond me,
but I know that there are people on this list that can do this sort of
thing, and do it for a living, which is why I've made this a list rather
than a private message - I just know that they'll come forwards and offer to
help ;)

And when they've finished helping you... hehehe, I'll come visit your web
page ;)

Regards, Andrew
