Heay Julie,

It's always good to get the feminine wiewpoint - actually I got the
impression that it was Americans that had that particular accent. A friend
of mine was over in the States and went to the Supermarket and brought some
groceries and went through the checkout and was asked if he wanted "sex''
(expressed with the long vowel). He was somewhat disappointed to find out
that she wasn't being extra friendly to a visitor, only enquiring whether
he wanted his groceries put in shopping bags to take home. The term "sacks"
isn';t used much over here ;-)

The Kiwis I know all say "sex" not "sux." But, hmm, maybe they do mean it
just that way... ;-)
