Alan - can you make a note of this - we do need to add something like this
to the newinfo FAQ, I will forget if you don't remind me ;)

I think that these days Alan is probably the more patient of the pair - I am
spending a lot of time at my new job and have become quite "assertive" ;) as
a result... there are certain smallminded parties who would appear to be
trying to goad Alan and I into closing the list down - which we can do in
about 30 keystrokes, by the by, and two mouse-clicks ;)
But that is NOT going to happen, as I shall not give them the satisfaction!
I know that Alan feels the same way.
Thanks to all the authors of the messages of support, it's the little things
like this that make the occasional ill-feeling well worthwhile!
Now that we have Dr Larson on the list, I feel that it is time to move onto
more important things, like Genus Chlamydogobius! ;) Which everyone knows,
are *far* more interesting than those boring Rainbowfish! ;) ;)
