Gee, I'm sorry I wasn't trying to say anything about you personally. I
think it's commendable (I can't spell worth a bean either) that you
are trying to create a representative tank. I certainly don't have my
tanks all set up as to different places. I just felt that a public
aquarium like Shedd should have experts that would know more about
where their plants and animals come from than I would. I'm just a
nobody that likes to keep tanks. I have no formal training in this,
I've done it as a hobby, but at least I think I would do a pretty good
job of accurately naming the continent my fish and plants come from. I
would hope that the people at the Shedd aquarium should know a lot
more about where fish and aquatic plants come from than I would.
Oh and they don't have any public aquariums here, though if anyone
wanted to fork over the bucks to build one I'd be more than happy to
work there. Though since I don't have a degree they would probably not
want me anyway. I would volunteer at the zoo, even though they don't
have fish, but I couldn't afford it, the day care costs would kill me.
I am really sorry if you thought I was singling you out. I certainly
meant no offense to you. But don't you think that at a large aquarium
like the Shedd that when they say a tank is representative of a
certain area it should be correct?
