I have also heard of people feeding cladocerans, copepods and artemia on
just about anything that is fine enough. I have tried feeding artemia and
moina on bakers yeast. It comes in little blocks just like butter and you
can get it at just about any bakery. Break of a tea spoon full, put it in
the blender with some water and blend away. You can add this to a 100 litre
culture, once or twice a day.

I have also heard of people using rice bran, oat bran, wheat flour,
pulverised lettuce leaf, chicken manure, micro-encapsulated diets, fish food
and dog pellets. These are all blended until they form a suspension in the
water, then fed to the culture.

The only problem is that you might reduce the nutritional value of your
culture if you feed them exclusively on any one diet. I prefer to encourage
natural (plankton) blooms in my ponds, and let the fish feed on whatever
grows, but then, I have the space.
