I don't raise as many as I used to, Alfred.... not as many tanks as I had
earlier on, I guess, but there are some of the most advanced Rainbow
hobbyists on the planet on this list, some, mind you, as well as founding
members of the Australia New Guinea Fishes Association, the Rainbowfish
Study Group of North America, IRG (which translates roughly to International
Rainbowfish Group from the German, if my memory serves me aright - Harro?
Is this correct?), and people who are not members of the above organisations
at all. The list is not an organ of any of these groups, nor the commercial
fish-marketing industry.
The only rule we have here is no flaming... you may have mistaken a bit of
friendly banter or a recent discussion on a former list member as such but
it is not. The reason that everyone is holding their breath at the moment
is that the last time someone made a first posting a bit like yours Alan
Ford and I desubscribed him for it. His was a bit more personal than yours,
but I know Alan wasn't in a very good mood this morning, so we'll see how it
pans out, huh?
There has been more personality than fish on the list of late, it bugs me
sometimes, but the list has grown to the stage where it is impossible to
strictly police like Alan and I used to, so the list is what it is....
that's it from my perspective. What you choose to do with that rests
entirely with you. We have 120 other members now, one more or less isn't
going to bother me much. Let me make one thing quite plain: you are more
than welcome to stay and contribute.
Regards, Andrew
