I guess Marque is referring to the myrhological association between the
amphibian-type salamander and fire - my understanding was that it started
as a reference to the red colouration of the belly of the adult animal.Not
really as due to heat tolerance.

BTW Lepidogalaxias used to have a Home page all of it's own.
