For me, before there was any mailing list, if I wanted info on Rainbows I had to
really dig around. Finally I found the RSG and through them ANGFA and the IRG.
Since joining these groups I have gained access to so much information and made
so many friends most of whom I've never met!;-) that the mere cost of .28 cents
a day (and that's Canadian!) is a real Bargoon!;-).
All these organizations have done tremendous work in obtaining quality stock
that the retail trades just can not compete with, as well as an incredible
variety of fishes most of which you'll never see in stores. A lot of these clubs
have individuals who travel, usually at there own expense to bring these fish to
the rest of us. Let's support them.
The RSG convention is coming up in September in 'Frisco and some of the best
known names in Rainbowland will be there. The more members that are there the
more fun it will be. I've been lucky enough to attend two of these events in the
past and I have had a great and productive time on both occassions.
Like this list, these clubs can only prosper with your participation. I think we
recently proved how vital a group can be when it's members join in and
participate.
Enough preaching for now but please everyone note this well: I am not on the
boards of any of groups that I've mentioned. This is more of a testimonial! I am
just a guy who has benefitted immensely from all their work and the only way I
can repay that is to support them. You should too.
