I don't know if I should be answering this question due to possible
commercial bias, but I just had to comment after installing one of these
filters on my own aquarium.
Take a look at the new Fluval canister filter range. I have had a 404 on my
rather heavily stocked 48" x 20" x 20" aquarium for about 8 weeks now. The
tank has probably 30 adult rainbows ranging from M. pygmaea to full size
Goyder River Tris, and is absolutely crystal clear.
And the aquarium is at the foot of my bed- so it has to be quiet, and it is!
The new Fluvals are a breeze to clean- with built-in taps. They have a 3
year warranty, self priming feature, recessed seal ring and larger (fully
utilized) filtering volume, just to name a few things.
I am sure if anyone else has used one the these new Fluval filters, they
can give you a rave review also.
Merry Christmas- a fish tank filter sure beats socks and undies in the
Christmas stocking!
Jennifer.
