How many hardyheads don't get a bright orange stripe under their belly?
If anyone ever bothered to keep any they may have a little more
appreciation for this "drab" group of fishes. They will typically show
that orange/yellow colouration when in spawning condition, although it is
not always apparent. I've only kept a few species but they all seem to
get it. It is not sexually dimorphic in my experience either.
