Hi kiddies. :)

Just thought I'd go through my back log of email here while I'm waiting to
see if anyone else shows up on the #RML tonight. I thought I'd forward
this in case any of you Aussies wanted to meet up with this fellow. I also
suggested he may want to join the list. Remember he isn't on it now so
please reply to his private email at:

Alfred Low <alflow at yahoo.com>

Thanks,
Rhonda

Hello Rhonda

I was just looking at your homepage, and I'm impressed. Very good content and beautiful pictures!

I got to your page through ANGFA, and was wondering if you would know any Australian aquarists that I can get in touch with.

Let me explain. My love for aquariums started when I was a small boy and grew with time. Mostly, I'm more interested in the fish rather than plants. Of late, seeing pictures and actual tanks beautifully planted, my interest is perking up.

I haven't had much luck with plants, succeeding in killing them more often than not. I recently set up a 3ft X 1.5ft tank with plants. Have given the plants a week to root and will be introducing plant-friendly fish soon (I had plants in there previously but made the uninformed decision to put Tinfoil barbs (Barbus schwanfeldii) in there. There barbs were happy and very healthy since they had a supply of fresh vegies to eat!)

Right now, I'm working in Malaysia. In the Malaysian aquarium shops there is a large variety of plants for sale. In addition, the tap water is soft and suitable for growing most plants.

I will be going back to Perth, Western Australia, soon. The tap water there is hard and there is a very limited supply and variety of plants for sale in Perth. Therefore, I would like to get in contact with Australian aquarists, preferably those from Perth.

I hope you can help. Keep up the good work on your homepage. I'll be going back to look at it again soon.

Cheers, Alfred Low.
