Mach,

My connieae are the same as shown in most of the rainbowfish books and do on
occasions display the magnificent colouration as show in Gunther's photo on
my home page (sometimes even better). In fact I've just been down in my
fishroom (late afternoon) and there were 2 males about 5 cm in size
displaying to each other in all their magnificence.

I think Heiko collected the connieae that were distributed around Europe
although there may have been some other European collections. I also believe
that a lot of the European stock has now been lost. You certainly have to
give them the right attention if you want them to survive for any length of
time.

I already have requests for more than I can raise at the moment but hope to
have at least some for around October.

I've been getting quiet of few eggs in the last 3 days - just hope they hatch.
Water conditions:
Temp=23-26°C
pH=7.85 (afternoon)
GH=120 ppm
KH=50 ppm
Cond=565 uS

Adrian.
