It is with some regret that I inform you that I no longer intend to keep ACN-L
operational. I had been making some efforts behind the scenes to get ACN back
up and semi-function with an online journal. These efforts failed as you
can't have a journal without authors. It seems as if everyone is very pushed
for time (as I am too) and we were unable to pull things together. Given
this, and the trivial amount of discussion on this list I have decided to no
longer run the list and will be advising Gordon Dewis to shut ACN-L down at
the end of this month. I intend to continue to maintain online the archives
from this list and the back issues of Aquatic Survival. As with many similar
organisations, ACN has always relied solely on volunteers. Some, such as Rob
Huntley have given several years of their life. Unfortunately, we have run
out of active volunteers.
