FYI,
Yvonne Baskin has published an article in Natural History (4/00) entitled, "A Sickening Situation: Emerging pathogens pose a threat to wildlife". Introduced pathogens are described as a a threat to native species. Human dispersal of pathogens via trade and ballast water are identified as an important contributor to the threat posed by pathogens to wildlife. __________ Mark D.
