This is just to give you an update on a website that I know many of you are
familiar with: the Internet Guide to International Fisheries Law. For those
that do not know about this site, it deals comprehensively with all aspects
of marine living resource conservation and management and contains
information, documents, materials and links on fisheries, marine mammals and
related subjects. It is the largest free website on the subject.
The website (www.oceanlaw.net) has recently been updated (a few further
updates are still to be made) and some new sections have been added.
Recent additions to the site also include a discussion list for law and
policy aspects of marine living resource conservation and management, a
book review section and a monthly news bulletin. (The latter requires a
subscription fee, I'm afraid, although this is half price in May).
I would like to take this opportunity to thanks those FISHFOLKers which use
this site for their support and feedback in the past, and would, of course,
welcome any new comments on the revised version of the site.
Sorry for cross-postings
Best wishes
Chris Hedley
