Gordon Dewis, owner and sys op of the machine acn-l runs on has made changes
to the list to combat spam. In order to post messages to acn-l you now must
to be a subscriber to the list. This means you have to be subscribed under
the same address that you email from. For most folks receiving this message
that won't be a problem, however, some servers add little bits and pieces onto
outgoing emails which can cause problems (ie, your outgoing address may be
different from your incoming address), but these are easily fixed once we
become aware of them. Since the list is now closed, the block on aol.com
posts has been removed. A further improvement is the addition of text at the
end of each message with instructions on how to get off the list, location of
the acn-l archives, ACN web site, and Gordon's pinetree project. We hope you
find these adjustments to acn-l satisfactory.
