The CIDA Forestry Advisers Network (CFAN) has prepared a new forestry issues
paper entitled: "Deforestation: Tropical Forests in Decline". The DRAFT
paper examines the extent of deforestation in developing countries, its
causes and consequences, and prospect of more sustainable land use
alternatives. We invite you to review it and provide us with your comments
and suggestions. The paper can be found at:

At present, the paper is in English only, however when finalized in early
September, it will be available on the CFAN website in French, English , and
Spanish.
